Dallas Zoo Camps for Children

Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 is the start of the Stars over the Savanna for children in PreK, Kindergarten, second, third and fifth grades. The children learn how to identify certain constellations, plus meet some of the real-life animals at the zoo, including a crab, scorpion, bears and a dolphin.

On Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, the camp has Crittergrams for children in PreK, Kindergarten and second grade. The children learn about ancient cultures and their use of animal images to write.

Dallas Winter Warmer

This event has three levels: GA, VIP, and DD. Ticket prices do not include fees. The Winter Warmer-GA includes a 5-ounce glass snifter, 12 2-ounce samples, free water, access to No Beer Left Behind education courses. It is $40 to get in. Winter Warmer-VIP, which is $75 to get in, includes access to the VIP area, limited release beers, a 5-ounce glass snifter, appetizers, 12 2-ounce samples, water, and access to the No Beer Left Behind educational courses.

The Winter Warmer-DD, which is $20, features ticket access to the event, soft drinks and snacks. No beer is allowed in the tent.

The festival starts at noon and ends at 5:00 p.m., but employees will start scanning tickets at 11:00 a.m. The event is limited to 2,000 people, so be sure to get your tickets early – and don’t forget to bring your ID!
