Top Ways to Give Back Around DFW

This holiday season, you can easily give back by participating in or donating to some of the charities around DFW. On you way to Classic Chevy to test drive a vehicle, stop by one of these organizations to donate. Toys for Tots even holds events that you can participate in, in addition to donating toys.

Meals on Wheels

This organization provides hot meals that are freshly prepared to Dallas County residents. Many of the residents are home bound, have no reliable source of food, have low income or suffer from a medical condition that does not allow them to care for themselves. Meals on Wheels provides meals for residents five days per week.

Toys for Tots

This popular charity in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area collects new, unwrapped toys for children who are not as fortunate so some others. Look for the collection boxes or visit their web page to learn about fund raising events. On November 26, the organization will be collecting during the Texas Motor Speedway gift of lights grand opening; and on December 5, the organization will be holding its annual motorcycle run. For more information and information on how to volunteer, visit dfwtoysfortots.org.

Safe Haven

Safe Haven is similar to Toys for Tots; however this organization collects toys, clothes and books throughout the year. Tarrent County’s chapter gives the items collected to emergency shelters that are for domestic violence victims. For more information visit safehaventc.org.

Visit Classic Chevy

Stop by Classic Chevrolet today to test drive a new vehicle. Be sure to ask your salesperson about any finance or lease specials we may be running on certain models. If you’re not ready for a new vehicle yet – maybe yours is only a year or two old – give our service department a call to schedule an appointment for maintenance. While you’re there, ask your salesperson about his or her favorite charity if you prefer donating to another charity not listed here.
