January DFW Events

It doesn’t matter what time of year it is, there is always something to do in the DFW. Now that the holidays are over and 2013 has begun, make sure you continue to explore. As your local Chevy dealer, we are proud supporters of our community and everything it has to offer. Whether you are a visitor or a longtime resident, the time is now to check out a few of these January events.

Coming up quickly is the Cotton Bowl, which takes place on January 4, 2013. The game kicks off at 7 p.m., and Oklahoma will take on Texas A&M. When you get in your Chevy and head to the game, be aware that it is no longer held at the Cotton Bowl Stadium. This year’s bowl game is going to be held at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Consider taking your Chevy to the stadium early to tailgate. Parking lots open at 2 p.m. and you can show off your great ride while enjoying drinks, food and fun with your friends.

For a truly Texas experience, grab your Chevy truck and head out to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. This unique event gives guests the opportunity to see a true rodeo, while also enjoying a carnival, kid-friendly activities and delicious food. This event kicks off on January 18, 2013 and will continue into February. Don’t miss the highlight of this show, which is the All Western Parade that will take place on January 19, 2013. The parade will take place in downtown Fort Worth and is sure to delight children and adults alike.

Whether you are interested in a rodeo or a Chevy outing, you won’t be disappointed in the fun events happening in the area this month. It’s a great way to start a brand new year.
