Chevrolets Featured in Movies and on TV

When you pick out a new vehicle at Classic Chevrolet, you may pick out one that was featured in a movie if you choose a Corvette, Impala or Camaro. Other models that were featured in movies include the Lumina, the ’57 Chevy and the ’55 Chevy 210.

1990 Chevrolet Lumina

This model was featured in Days of Thunder as the #46 race car. This movie launched NASCAR’s most successful decade.

Chevrolet Corvette

The Chevrolet Corvette was featured in three movies over the years. Route 66 features a 1961 Chevrolet Corvette. Every year, GM put the stars in a new ‘vette for this series, which ran from1960 to 1964.

The 1973 Chevrolet Corvette was featured in Corvette Summer where Mark Hamill spends this entire 1978 flick getting the car back after it was stolen. And, a 1965 model year was used in Stingray, a series that ran from 1985 through 1987.

1958 Chevrolet Impala

This model was featured in American Graffiti, a film about a summer night in 1962.

Chevrolet Camaro

The Camaro was featured in Transformers – this was a 1976 model year and this “Bumblebee” became a 2010 Camaro in the 2007 megahit. And, in the 1985 John Cusak film, Better off Dead, a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro was featured.

1957 Chevy

The iconic ’57 Chevy was featured in Hollywood Knights, a 1980 film. The ’57 was driven by Tony Danza.

1955 Chevy 210

This model, which featured a solid front axle and a 454 with a tunnel ram, was featured in American Graffiti and Two-Lane Blacktop.

Visit Classic Chevrolet

While some of these vehicles are classics and hard to come by; and are not even made anymore, you can get some of them in their newer skins when you stop by Classic Chevy for a test drive. Take a ride in a Camaro, Corvette or Impala and remember some of these great movies that featured great cars.
